Chat Quote #2 + Bad Habit #2, On Metalanguage

P3r]<y_g07h_|\/|!h0: n dats y he’s an asshole

zi_tok: whatever

P3r]<y_g07h_|\/|!h0: shutup

P3r]<y_g07h_|\/|!h0: brb gotta go toilet

zi_tok: have fun <(^_^)>

zi_tok: ….

P3r]<y_g07h_|\/|!h0: huh?

P3r]<y_g07h_|\/|!h0: WTF!

>In case you don’t get it, Whenever someone tells me that they are leaving I kind of automatically say “Have fun”, and I use WL Messenger Plus and its on a shortcut, so yeah… the thing is I also do that in real life, so it gets kind of weird some times, I can’t help it, it’s almost a reflex. Another thing I also say on reflex, when someone says something I agree with, is “I know. It can sometimes make me sound rather conceited, for example, when i met this friend I hadn’t seen in a long time:

Friend: Hey man it’s been ages how’s it been?

Me: Great thanks. You’ve really changed!

Friend: That better be a good thing, and you look pretty good yourself!

Me: I know!

>At that point he raised his eyebrow, at which I said to him practically what I’m typing now.

A New Beginning

December 26, 2007 at 11:19 am (Anouncements, Gaming) ()

I have jut clocked Metroid Fusion.

Clear time – 8:43

Item Collecting Rate – 100%

So the boredom isn’t that bad, I’ve started reading these diary entries of a zombie plague survivor.

Overall metroid gave me a great gaming experience, I didn’t use any cheats like inf misssiles or something because it would just ruin the game. Unlike some previous Metroid games Fusion gave you a kind of boss to give you the objectives, which was good, yet still gave you some room for movement and let you solve puzzles by yourself. I just  wish they would tell you when they’re going to lock down some areas, like in the chase to the Operation Room before you defeat SA-X, because I was planning to go collect tanks, good thing I saved before then.

Self-imposed Torture

December 25, 2007 at 3:25 pm (Chat Quotes, Deep Thoughts, Gaming, Ramblings) (, )

zi_tok: I am so bored right now. I feel like going and playing Metroid Fusion, it’s a great game. The thing is, I’m afraid that if I play it now, I’ll reach the end of the game. Because you can tell when you’re reaching the climax of a game. And I don’t want to reach the end because I’m afraid that if I reach the end, I won’t have anything else to play and I’ll be faced with a lot more boredom…

zi_tok: Ironic.

My Hijra + Bad Habit #1, Interuptions

December 23, 2007 at 3:37 am (Anouncements, Bio) (, )

I have now moved from Blogger to WordPress, obviously, I did it for a number of reasons, one of which is trackbacks, usally I would just comment others on their blogs but some bloggers remove this privilege from their readers due to an excessive number of flames so… meh, but anyhow, on with the post.Bad Habit #1, Butting into others’ conversations I have no Idea how this started but I always but into other peoples conversations. This usually comes in five stages;

  1. The Eavesdrop – I don’t usually eavesdrop on purpose but sometimes when I’m trying to do something, some people around me talk somewhat loudly and back then I didn’t have a phone that could MP3’s or anything so I had no choice but to hear whatthey were talking about.
  2. </span

  3. The Obvious Answer – Then if the person(s) were talking about a problem they were having I would usually have my own idea of how it could be fixed.
  4. The Itch – Next would usually be an immense urge to tell them usually it lasts for a few seconds but sometimes if the person is not a complete stranger I would likely just skip this phase and interrupt with my input on impulse.
  5. The Invasion – Now I butt in with only a few lines’ worth of knowledge about the conversation, though at times I’ve been known o butt in after only hearing a single word from said person(s)

  6. The Question – Now whoever was in the conversation would usually ask me something along the lines of “Who the fuck Are you?” “Do I know you?” “Where did you come from” “What are you talking about?” or even “ANAL!?”

Fortunatey I don’t do this very often anymore… especially not with complete strangers, sure its a good way of meeting people but its kinda wierd.

By the way in case you didn’t realise, when I said Hijra I meant migration, not hermaphrodites or gender confused people living in the Indian sub-continent so if that’s what you’re looking for, sorry please satisfy your fetish somewhere else.

Not *all* cartoons are just dumb humor

December 20, 2007 at 1:17 am (Ramblings, Replies) (, , , , , , , , )

Today I had just finished reading the latest post on Violent Acres. In it, V, as she calls herself on the blog, states that;

Nowadays, cartoons are nothing more than dumb humor. There are no ongoing storylines in kid shows anymore. It’s just Spongebob Squarepants catching jellyfish and acting like a retard or the Yo Gabba Gabba guy singing insipid songs about manners.

Being a teenager who almost lives on TV, I can tell you that this is so not totally true. I mean, sure, you have things out there like Spongebob Squarepants, Pokemon, Fairly Odd Parents and Brandy & Mr. Whiskers which honestly have no plot whatsoever beyond the overly simple and formulaic little stories that last barely last a half hour. These kind of shows obviously would rot your brains.

Fortunately, in the midst of all the crap out there, there are some good shows around that have real plots, sub-plots and back-stories so that you become immersed in the show. Such examples are Avatar: The Last Airbender, Skyland, Code Lyoko and W.I.T.C.H. not to mention the range of animé they have out there that are targeted at kids, like Digimon, Naruto, Transformers and Zoids.

These are the shows you would want your children watching, If you want to see just how inspiring these shows can be just look at the fan-made storylines for Avatar: The Last Airbender posted here. Its all a matter of knowing which shows to watch. These shows are usually on right after the kids come home from school or if you have cable I’m sure they’re not that hard to find, just tell them there’s this cool new show that all their friends have started watching, i f they don’t believe you say that their friends’ mums called you and didn’t want them to be left out, but i’m sure you, V, could make a good enough lie to fool these kids.

If you’re worried that shows like these, especially those imported from japan, are too violent for your children to watch, don’t worry, They edit, sensor and screen the shit out of it before it even hits the airwaves. Though, if something questionable does get through and your child, let’s say, jumps off the roof thinking he could fly (damn you Peter Pan ) you could sue he network for quite a small fortune.
